Paper Bag Scarecrow Craft
I can’t believe it’s nearly Fall! This year has just flown by, don’t you think? Well, Ella and Annie are excited for all the fun Fall crafts we are planning. It never seizes to amaze me what you can create from the most simple craft supply. I am sure you have some paper lunch bags lying around.
Here is what you will need to make our Paper Bag Scarecrow Craft:
- Paper Lunch Bag
- Construction Paper
- Yellow Acrylic Paint
- Glue or Stapler
- Markers
- Scissors
Start by painting the top half of the paper lunch bag. Apply enough coats so that you can see the yellow paint. Roll up a couple pieces of copy paper and stuff into bag. Glue or staple the bag closed where the yellow paint ends.
Cut the bag into strips on the painted end. Do not cut past the staples. Fold the yellow strips over so that the yellow paint is showing. Part the strips in the middle and staple or glue into place.
Cut an orange triangle from construction paper for the nose. Cut a larger brown triangle for the hat along with a blue rectangle for the brim of the hat. Glue the brim onto the brown hat than staple or glue onto the scarecrow. Use a black marker to make stitches on the hat.
Punch two pink circles ( 1 1/2″ ) for the rosy cheeks. Glue the pink circles onto the face of the scarecrow. Draw a stitched smile and eyes. Isn’t our paper bag scarecrow the cutest? Imagine all the cute Halloween and Fall characters you can create with a paper lunch bag!
We hope that you are getting ready for pumpkin season! We are here at Ella and Annie. Check out our DIY Dollar Tree Fall Wreath and don’t forget to follow us on Instagram and Pinterest.
