Red, White & Blue Summer Snack Mix

Perfectly patriotic red, white and blue snack mix!

Well, hello Crafting Chicks readers!! I am so excited to stop by today to spend some time with you and share a fun Summer recipe!

I’m Keri … home cook and creative crafter over at Shaken Together! I am also the wife of my VERY patient hubby {14 years and counting}, mother to two baseball obsessed boys and lover of lists, the color red and singing at the top of my lungs! Now, it won’t take you long to realize that I love to celebrate! Holidays, birthdays, achievements … give me something to celebrate and I am on board! In addition to family and friends, food is one of our favorite things to add to any celebration. With the 4th of July coming up, I put together a little of this and a little of that to create a perfectly patriotic, red, white & blue Summer snack mix!

Fruity red, white and blue snack mix for Summer - perfect to package up for fire work watching!

I really love this combination of Summer snack mix ingredients because there is no chocolate to melt {not that there is anything wrong with chocolate!} and the dried fruit and licorice help keep the marshmallows soft and fluffy! And as a mom, I feel good that there is a little fruit snuck in for good measure! Feel free to add in your favorite red, white and blue ingredients as well: red hots, white chocolate chips or even blue gummies.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Twizzler bites
  • 1 cup mini marshmallow
  • 1 cup yogurt covered raisins
  • 5 oz. bag of dried mixed berries (blueberries, cherries and cranberries)
Instructions
  1. Stir all ingredients together and store in an air-tight container.

This snack mix is perfect to package up and hand out to your guests to munch on while watching fire works! Or just pile it into a big bowl with a scoop so hungry party-goers can help themselves. My boys don’t mind yogurt covered raisins or dried berries when they find mini marshmallows and licorice bites in every handful, too!

Red, white and blue Summer snack mix - a yummy blend of fruit and sweet treats!

We have already made another batch of this red, white & blue Summer snack mix at our house and from the almost empty container and happy neighborhood kids, I’m pretty sure we’ll be making it again soon!
