Sew an Egg from Paging Supermom {Spring Fever Series}
Brace yourself for some amazing free printables from these two Supermoms at Paging Supermom. We love them! Thanks Aimee & Bettijo!
Hello! It’s Aimée and Bettijo here from PagingSupermom.com. On our blog we like to share lots of family fun ideas and loads of freeprintables. We can’t wait to share this fun Easter games with you today. We are always on the search for simple, quiet activities to keep little hands busy, and these colorful lacing eggs fit the bill quite nicely.
When we were kids we both had wooden lacing toys that were various shapes. Bettijo really only remembers the pony one because it was her favorite, and as a kids we just thought these toys were a lot of fun. As Moms now we can appreciate that lacing toys encourage little ones to exercise fine motor skills and they are a great way to practice patterns. Show your little one that they need to sew up, down, up, down and so forth — a simple, AB pattern.
TO MAKE: Download our free printable Sew an Egg template and print on cardstock. You may wish to laminate the egg to make it more durable. Using a regular office-size hole punch, create holes around the perimeter of the egg. For the lace, cut about a yard of string or yarn and tape the end.
We hope you’ll swing by PagingSupermom.com to see all our family-friendly Easter ideas including lots of free printables like this Golden Egg Art, Hop Banner and free pre-school worksheets. We would love to have you along on our creative
adventures via Instagram and Pinterest.
