DIY Birch Wood Glitter Ornaments::Bloggers Best 12 Days of Christmas

day5

Hi everyone! I’m Crystal from A Pumpkin & A Princess and I’m thrilled to be here to today! I loved the 12 days of Christmas event last year and am excited to share another project this year. For me the holidays and glitter go hand in hand. I’ve been glittering ornaments since I was 4 and I don’t think a year goes by that I don’t make some kind of glitter ornament or holiday decoration. This year I’m liking the plaid trend mixed in with a touch of gold. For the five golden rings I made these DIY Birch Wood Glitter Ornaments!

Gold Glitter OrnamentSupplies:

ribbon (from Michaels)
birchwood circle
glue (I’m using Mod Podge)
gold glitter (Martha Stewart -smokey quartz)
hot glue

ornamentTo make the ornament I applied glue around the center of the birch wood. I wanted to leave that dark ring and used that as my guide on where to apply the glue. I then added glitter and removed any excess.

After make a quick bow and securing it with hot glue I hung my rustic glam ornament.
