Hi everyone! I’m Keri – the girl behind the blog over at Shaken Together where I love to share no-fuss food and easy entertaining ideas like this one: super cute, super sparkly Oreo pops that look like the iconic ball that drops in New York City at midnight!

Make these super sparkly Ball Drop Oreo Pops for New Year's Eve!

Whether you can hang all the way until midnight or if you call it quits before the clock even hits double digits (ahem, me, ha ha!), you will love how easy these are to make! They start with just a few basic supplies: Double Stuff Oreos, lollipop sticks, colored sugar in several colors and vanilla almond bark (or candy melts or Candiquik).

Ball Drop Oreo Pops start with basic supplies from your kitchen!

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Mix your colored sugars together to make a pretty mixed up blend.

Gently slide the lollipop sticks into the cream center of each Oreo. (The Double Stuff Oreos give you a little more cream to hold the stick in.) Once you have inserted the stick, gently press the cookies together to secure it.

P.S. If you don’t have lollipop sticks, you can use popsicle sticks like I did with these Halloween Monster Face Oreo Pops.

Melt the almond bark according to package directions and stir until smooth. Dip each Oreo pop and remove any excess.

**Dipping tip for Oreo Pops – I use a large coffee mug to hold the melted chocolate. It gives me a deeper place to dip and I use a fork or spoon to help apply the chocolate and remove the excess.

Sprinkle the wet almond bark with sprinkles – cover the entire surface. Your goal is to make this Oreo look like the extremely colorful ball that is the center of festivities in New York City. So sprinkle it up!!

Carefully stand each Oreo pop up vertically on the baking sheet and allow a small puddle to form at the bottom of the Oreo. This will help the pops stand upright. Except that one on the right, sigh … there is always one 😉

Allow the almond bark to set up before handling the Oreo pops. You don’t have to package them, but they are SO cute when you pop them in a cello bag, add a little stamped tag that reads “hello 2017” and some curling ribbon. These would make awesome party favors for your New Year’s Eve party guests to take home … if they make it home, that is!
