Back to School Kid Goals

Back to School Kid Goals!
It’s that time of year again…BACK TO SCHOOL! My kids have been awaiting this week with much anticipation.
They are so excited for a new class, new teachers, and of course all of the new school clothes and school supplies.
Every year we kick off September with a fun back to school dinner. At our family dinner, we share our worries and what we are looking forward to with a new school year. This is an awesome tradition and it helps my kids feel confident when they get on the bus that first day.
This year, we added some fun goals to our Back to School tradition and we teamed up with Gymboree to share this fun idea and printable with you today.
Below you can print our Free Printable Goal Sheets and let your kids set some #kidgoals this month!
Another fun tradition we have as a family is picking out a first day school outfit together a week or two before school starts.
We found adorable outfits at Gymboree and our kids couldn’t be more thrilled. It feels good to have on one new outfit for that first day.
The kids get excited to set up their first day gear the night before school.
This year as the kids picked out their outfits, they were looking for comfort and cuteness! They also needed some durable clothes since they are on the go at school and busy with recess and P.E.
We love the Gymboree Back to School Looks!
During our special back to school dinner, we talked about #kidgoals for the new school year. I made a printable sheet for each kid to write down 3 goals. We talked about goal setting and brainstormed some good goals for the school year. Each kid has their own goals that they want to work for this year.
We found that 3 is a good attainable number of goals to reach for.
We printed the #kidgoals sheets and I let each kid write their 3 goals on the paper with a colorful marker.
This #kidgoals printable was great to include in our first day of school photo. Another favorite back to school tradition.
Each kid held their goals in their picture, wearing their new Gymboree outfit.
I love that we will be able to look back on this year and remember their goals and hard work.
We talked about setting a couple of school goals and an after school goal. My kids wanted to work on a sport or activity, and get a little better!
I love how my one daughter wants to read 20 chapter books this year! I’m excited to help her with that goal after school this year.
