Cinnamon Toast Crunch White Chocolate Popcorn
Hi everyone! It’s Keri from Shaken Together and I’m back with another super fun no-bake treat that is perfect for your Summer road trips, pool parties or movie nights: Cinnamon Toast Crunch White Chocolate Popcorn!!
Now, my boys could live on cereal. They go through cereal and almond milk like it’s their job! We are equal opportunity cereal lovers, but hands down, Cinnamon Toast Crunch is a family fave. My hubby has even been known to sneak out for a little bowl in the wee hours of the night!
Since we love the mix of sweet and salty when it comes to snacks {like these triple buttered popcorn sundaes!}, it was only natural that I added our favorite sweet cinnamon cereal to a bag of salty buttery popcorn! And made it even more delicious with a generous drizzle of white chocolate!
If it has cereal in it, does it count as breakfast?! You can decide, but if you smell popcorn in the morning at our house, you’ll know where we stand on the issue 😉
The best part about this recipe is that you can make a TON of different combinations! Just pair popcorn, a drizzle of chocolate and YOUR favorite breakfast cereal for a sweet & salty no-bake treat!
- Chocolate Chip Cookie Popcorn: Popcorn + milk chocolate + Cookie Crisp
- Berrylicious Popcorn: Popcorn + white chocolate + Cap’n Crunch All Berries
- Trail Mix Popcorn: Popcorn + chocolate + granola
- Peanut Butter Chocolate Popcorn: Popcorn + peanut butter + milk chocolate + Reeses Puffs
Cinnamon Toast Crunch White Chocolate Popcorn
- One regular size bag butter flavor microwave popcorn, popped and cooled
- 3 bricks of vanilla Candiquik (or candy melts or white chocolate chips)
- 1½ cups of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal - divided
- After your popcorn is popped and cooled, spread it out on a large sheet tray lined with waxed paper. (Make sure to remove any unpopped kernels).
- Crush ½ cup of the cereal into smaller pieces - I used a zip top bag and my rolling pin.
- Melt Candiquik according to package instructions.
- Drizzle melted Candiquik over the popcorn - try to cover as many kernels as possible.
- Sprinkle the crushed cereal and remaining 1 cup of cereal over the white chocolate drizzled popcorn.
- Pop the pan into the fridge for about 10 minutes or until chocolate is set.
- Break popcorn apart into smaller pieces and serve!
- Best enjoyed immediately, but this can be stored in an air tight container for a day or two.
We are taking our first big family vacation to a little cabin tucked in the mountains of north Georgia in a few weeks, so I’ll be adding this to our stash of road trip snacks. Munching on a little Cinnamon Toast Crunch White Chocolate Popcorn is sure to make an 8+ hour trip better, right?
So, what kind of snacker are you? Sweet and nothing but sweet, the saltier the better or sweet-n-salty?!
