Decorate Your Teacher’s Door {Teacher Appreciation Week}
This week is Teacher Appreciation Week at our elementary school, and since I’m a room mom for both of my kids’ classes I got to decorate their teachers’ doors! We love our teachers and are thankful they take such care and have provided a wonderful learning environment for our children. I thought I’d share what we did for their doors. {I realize that you might have already had your Teacher Appreciation Week so if that’s the case, you can pin this idea for next year! 🙂 }
“You uplift us and help our knowledge to soar”
For the first grade door I used my Cricut to cut out a bunch of darling little hot air balloons for the theme. along with all of the words. I used different colors of cardstock for this. I had the students each decorate their own hot air balloon and then I took a photo of each of them and glued it to the balloon. (I blurred out the pictures and teacher names for privacy.)
The kids had fun decorating the hot air balloons and it was cute to see their personalities show. 🙂 And they liked seeing their faces on the door too!
I really love banners so I attached the word “soar” to a yellow and white polka dot banner. It’s kind of hard to see in the photos but I also took a piece of white chalk and drew little puffy clouds all over the blue butcher paper background.
“Thanks for helping us GROW”
For the fourth grade door we did a flower garden! Again, my Cricut was put to work cutting out flowers and leaves and letters. If you don’t have an electronic cutter you could definitely cut the letters and shapes out by hand.
Each student wrote something that their teacher had taught them on the center of the flower.
The other mom who helped me with this one created this cute wooden garden sign to thank the teacher’s aide. She had all of the kids sign their names on it and we stuck into our “garden”.
The teachers really love their doors and they were fun to do! Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!

Cute! I love the hot air balloons and I bet that teacher will keep those flowers with notes on them. I lucked out and did the door of the librarian, and it’s glass. Vinyl straight on the door = easy as it gets ;).
Love those!! What cartridge did you use for the “uplift” letters? love that font.
Howdy-do, cute girls! I just wanted to let you know that I featured your ADORABLE “All About My Grandma” and “All About My Mom” questionnaire on my site today! They are so, so fun! Ooh, we’re also using them for a mother/daughter garden tea next week! Thanks so much!
