Quick, Easy, and Spooky Halloween Decor
I was feeling like I wanted a little something new for Halloween this year. I had some ideas of what I wanted and my Cricut was going to help me do it.
I had this wooden box, from some Melissa & Doug toy set my girls got, and jazzed it up with some grey and white stripes. Got out my black Cricut vinyl and used the Monster Bash cartridge to cut out this spooky house.
The “Eek” is using Boys Will Be Boys Font cartridge. Loved that font with this.
I didn’t stop there. I searched for a fun bat and using my left over All Hallow’s Eve from Carta Bella paper set, I made this bat specimen art. I choose the bat from the Creative Memories This and That cartridge. Cut him out on this great Carta Bella paper, and mounted him using foam squares onto this other great paper. (This is the same paper set I used to make the fun Halloween Advent earlier this year.)
I loved the stickers that came with this kit and so I used this “Happy Halloween” sticker to add just that extra touch.
I’m kinda in love with these pieces and they only took about 1 hour total craft time. I love when projects work up fast and look great.
Oh and right now Cricut has 25% off of all Halloween Cartridges.
But wait, I just got word that if you purchase the Monster Bash Cartridge, you will get the Chic and Scary for free!
Also—there is a really great Cricut Mini deal where you can purchase the Mini at $99 and get Cricut’s latest card cartridge, Simple Holiday Cards, for FREE!
What have you created for this Halloween?
Did you make the cute garland? It looks like painted foam balls on thick thread/yarn? I love that!
I actually purchased the garland at a boutique. They are woolen felt balls strung onto some twine. I love it and it was a great deal. Would be super easy to make but the cost of it was so great that I didn’t have to make it. 😉
I’ll find out the shop name and let you know.
Thanks!
