DIY Sideline Social Club T-Shirt with a Cricut Maker

If you’re a sports mom or dad who spends a ton of time at the field, you need one of these must-have graphic tees in your wardrobe! These Sideline Social Club tees are the perfect way to show your team pride while staying comfortable. Thanks to ShirtSpace, who generously donated the tees, I was able to create these fun shirts using my Cricut Maker and a couple soccer SVG cut files from Etsy.

Supplies Needed:

Step 1: Purchase & Download the SVG File

Head over to Etsy and purchase either the Althetic or Sideline Social Club design. When you make your own shirt you have tons of color options and styles to fit your team colors and personal style. You can even search for other cut files if you don’t really like the ones I chose.

Once you’ve found the perfect cut file, add it to your cart, check out, and download the file to your computer.

Step 2: Upload to Cricut Design Space

  1. Open Cricut Design Space and click “New Project.”
  2. Click “Upload” and select the SVG file you just downloaded.
  3. Add it to your canvas and resize it to fit your tee.
  4. Make sure to mirror the image before cutting if you’re using HTV.

Step 3: Cut & Weed Your Design

  1. Place the HTV on the mat with the shiny side down.
  2. Load the mat into your Cricut Maker and start the cut.
  3. Once cut, use a weeding tool to remove the extra vinyl, leaving only your design.

Step 4: Apply the Design to Your Tee

  1. Preheat your tee to remove wrinkles and moisture.
  2. Position the cut file where you want it on the apparel.
  3. Use a heat press or iron to apply even pressure for 15-30 seconds.
  4. Let it cool, then peel off the carrier sheet.

Step 5: Show Off Your Custom Tee!

Pair your new Sideline Social Club tee with a tank or jacket for the ultimate sports parent look. It’s a great gift idea for a soccer mom or soccer dad who wants to support their player in style! Plus, it’s easy to customize with different color options or team colors.

There are also other sport options for the cut files on Etsy. Find your favorite and make your own today.

Care Instructions:

  • Wash inside out in cold water.
  • Tumble dry low or hang dry.
  • Avoid direct ironing on the design.

I had so much passion for creating this project because I love to show team spirit for my kid’s teams. Be sure to share your beautiful game tees on social media and tag me—I’d love to see them!
