CRAFT ROOM DESIGN
“Let’s Get Crafty!” Here is my craft room design.
My craft room has been a long time coming. I use to have what my family called “our crap room” with all of my craft supplies unorganized and hard to find!
When a small bedroom opened up upstairs, I decided to make it into an adorable craft space!
My kids love it and I love being able to find all my supplies!
Wall Art
I wanted some fun wording on the main wall.
I discovered CRAFT CUTS and loved their designs. Craft Cuts cut the letters “Let’s Get Crafty.” They were so helpful with size and measurements and communication about my project.
The package came with command strips as well as a hanging guide which made adding the letters so easy!
I placed the letters over top of this super fun, and easy to use Farmhouse Plaid Peel and Stick Wallpaper.
Shelving and Storage
I used the large Ikea KALLAX shelf system for organizing and displaying the pretty craft supplies.
I used pretty apothecary jars and other jars from Oriental Trading to display pom poms, ribbon, washi tape and thread.
I used the Kallax divider insert to organize paint bottles. (from Ikea)
They worked perfectly.
The paper dividers are The Steady Hand and are made to fit your shelf so nicely.
The fabric bins from Ikea were perfect additions to the cubbies, and a great way to store other craft supplies.
I love having all of my paint and spray paint in one area, and visible! We love ColorShot for projects and the bottles look so cute displayed in my craft space.
The shelves just look so pretty and colorful. They make me happy.
Desk Area
I love having a desk area for sewing. There is a space for my sewing supplies, and even space to work on my laptop.
I love the plush pink swivel chair from Walmart!
It really is such a happy, light and bright space!!!
Kids Crafting Spot
On the other wall, we created space for my kids to create.
This is just a makeshift counter height table we made using white cubbies and an Ikea tabletop. (We’ve had this for awhile). We added two counter stools.
The kids love creating in this space.
We added large Ikea SKADIS peg boards above the counter craft space.
It was the perfect spot to add scissors, rulers, markers, pens, baker’s twins, and other supplies.
I love that you can see all the supplies….and that I don’t have to go on a hunt around my house to find scissors. lol!
A lazy susan tray is a perfect spot to add containers of kid craft supplies!
We truly love creating in this space and hope it inspires others!
The icing on the craft room cake is our favorite quote about creating.
“The Desire to Create is one of the Deepest Yearnings of the Soul”. -Dieter F. Uchtdorf
(I realize I need to add an e on Deepest LOL!)
I love the Ikea SKADIS wall systems with peg boards and hooks.
We added two smaller boards on one wall to add mini jars with buttons, and our washi tape supply.
Below, we added baskets to hold our Sharpie Marker containers.
Cricut Craft Cart
Of course I needed a spot for my Cricut Maker and all the supplies (in one spot). I love having this all displayed on the White Hudson Cart from Michaels craft stores.
I used some Ikea plastic containers to hang Cricut supplies on the side of the cart.
The Hudson cart trays are perfect for hold the Cricut Maker, the Cricut EasyPress, and all of the vinyl rolls.
Jamie!!! This looks amazing! What a dream! Amazing reveal 🙂
Omg how beautiful I love it! Can you tell me where you got the white desk from…thank you
Those are so cute! Many thanks!.
