Learning Fun With Coloring Pages

Do your kiddos love coloring pages!?! My littles do! Did you know that there’s a lot you can do with a fun coloring page besides just coloring them!?!
Hello, Crafting Chick friends! I’m Shelly Dolen from Dolen Diaries and today I’m going to share my coloring page tricks. I love coming up with novel ways to practice the skills my littles are working on at school. They get the practice they need and have fun while doing it.
Typically when I’m printing out printables, I print two 5x7s. Then I cut the page in 1/2 so we have two learning activities for the price of one. (Click on the photo to print)
Mystery Words: Sight words can be tricky! Make it fun by writing the words in white crayon then have your kiddo watercolor over the crayon. Challenge them to see how fast they can figure out the mystery word.
Odd & Even Numbers: Write odd and even numbers on the pumpkins. Color the odd pumpkins one color and the evens another color.
Patterning: Practicing making patterns with colors or different jack-o-lantern faces.
Letter Hunt: Write the letters of your preschooler’s name on separate pumpkins and then fill in the rest with random letters. Color only the pumpkins that spell your name. Or simply call out random letter names an have them dob them with a bingo dobber.
Now you have some fun coloring page tricks that will help your kiddos work on skills at home! If you have some tricks up your sleeve please share them! I’d love to add them to the mix!
