St. Nick’s Nibblers – The Easiest Chocolate Covered Pretzels!
Hi Crafting Chicks readers! It’s Keri from Shaken Together and I am so excited to be back with you sharing a fun no-bake sweet treat! I love to make seasonal treats – you may remember my Red, White & Blue Summer Snack Mix from this Summer. And this Mayflower Munch Mix is always a huge hit at Thanksgiving! Since Christmas is right around the corner, I thought a little red and green was in order! Take a peek at the easiest chocolate covered pretzels EVER {and they make a super cute holiday gift} … St. Nick’s Nibblers – The Easiest Chocolate Covered Pretzels!!
I have made tons of chocolate covered pretzels before – these pumpkin pie spice pretzels just last month, in fact. And while dipping pretzels in melted almond bark or white chocolate is not terribly difficult, I always spend a ton of time fishing pretzels out, waiting for the excess chocolate to drip off, getting a smooth pretty surface while wielding two forks or skewers … needless to say, the whole process for me is a little clunky and messy.
BUT, I finally found the perfect pretzel for dipping – sourdough pretzel nuggets! They are bite size, easy to hold onto and even easier to dip! Here is a look at my set up:
I line a baking sheet with parchment paper, get a bowl of sprinkles ready, melt my chocolate and get to dipping!! This would be a perfect snow day activity or a way to get your kids in the kitchen – who doesn’t LOVE sprinkles?!
St. Nick’s Nibblers {The Easiest Chocolate Covered Pretzels!}
- Sourdough pretzel nuggets
- White chocolate chips or vanilla almond bark (I love vanilla Candiquik!)
- Seasonal sprinkles, jimmies, colored sugar, crushed cookies/candy or any other fun thing to sprinkle on
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Fill a small bowl with your sprinkles and have it nearby - I like to put mine right on the baking sheet.
- Melt chocolate/almond bark/Candiquik according to package directions.
- Dip each sourdough pretzel nugget about ½ to ¾ of the way into the chocolate.
- Allow the excess to drip off and place it on the baking sheet.
- Add sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet.
- Allow pretzels to set - pop them in the fridge for faster setting up.
- Package for gifts or munch for a fun seasonal no-bake treat!
You can make a big batch of St. Nick’s Nibblers in no time … then package them in mason jars, seasonal paper treat cups or cello bags, add a cute gift tag and start playing Santa to your neighbors, family and friends! I bet your co-workers would love to find these cute little chocolate covered pretzel bites waiting at their desk, too!
This year, I hope your holidays are merry and bright, the stockings full and your hearts overflowing!! You are a gift!
