Skeleton Muddy Buddies Gift for Halloween
Hi friends! It’s Danetta and Amber from Fun-Squared. We’re two friends who like to have FUN and we’ve just started a blog all about it! We’ve got tons of fun gift ideas, parties, holiday projects, travel and just plain FUN over in our neck of the woods! Come join us! But for today, we are sharing the FUN here at The Crafting Chicks with this Skeleton Muddy Buddies Gift for Halloween:
Not only does it look cute (it’s pretty cute right?!), but it tastes amazing! Those are coconut muddy buddies inside! And boy are they good!
This would be such a cute gift to take to friends this Halloween! How can you go wrong when you package yum and cute together. We’ve got everything you need to pull it together right here. Who will you take it to?
Coconut Muddy Buddies Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 2 C white chocolate chips
- 1/4 C butter
- 9 C Rice Chex
- 1 teaspoon coconut extract (optional-add more to taste)
- 1 1/2 powdered sugar
- Mini Marshmallows
- Shredded Coconut
- Sixlets (optional) (Get these at a party store)
Instructions:
Melt your white chocolate and butter. This part is tricky because white chocolate can be finicky. Your best bet is probably to do it slowly on the stove. You can also microwave it, just be sure not to cook too long without stirring. Heat and mix till melted, then add your coconut extract and mix it in.
Put your Chex in a big bowl and then pour your white chocolate mixture over it and stir till it’s covering the Chex evenly.
Sprinkle on your powdered sugar and mix till it covers the Chex.
Sprinkle on mini marshmallows and shredded coconut to taste.
Add Sixlets for a pop of color.
Skeleton Gift:
Now you just need to package it all up cute! We used a quart size mason jar and some cute ribbon.
Here’s a tag you can use. You can either right click and save it to your computer and then open it in a program like Pages or Word and size how you want and print, OR, here’s a PDF file with a bunch of them ready to print.
Stick that on your jar and tie your ribbon, then fill it with the muddy buddies and you are all set!
We hope you have a blast giving this! We have a couple more fun Halloween versions (a mint monster one and a caramel Jack-o-Lantern one) over at Fun-Squared too. Here’s a peek:
You can check those out here.
And come join the FUN at Fun-Squared! You can find us on the blog and also on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest. We would LOVE to have you party with us!!!
