DIY Turkey Napkin Holders
Hey Readers! It’s Amanda from The Contractor Chronicles again – here to share a fun little DIY Turkey Napkin Holders project- just perfect for Thanksgiving! Halloween is only a few days away and all the spiders and witches get packed out and out come the turkey’s – for Thanksgiving! When I think about Thanksgiving, I think of my family coming together to give thanks for things we have and to celebrate with a big feast. On the table are always cute centerpieces and to go with those centerpieces I thought it would be fun to make some Turkey Napkin Holders.
These are so simple to make and will look awesome filled with cute napkins on your table all November long! You could even make a couple for gifts!
All you need to make them are a 1×6, some wood glue and some paint!
I cut my 1×6 into three pieces: two at six inches and one at one and a half inches.
Next, I used my gorilla glue and glued my 1 1/2” piece onto my 6” piece.
Then I nailed them together using Ryobi Airstrike Brad Nailer.
When both sides are glued and nailed… you are done nailing.
Next, I stained the napkin holder using Minwax Cherry.
(Note: you may want to stain or paint before you assemble the napkin holder – whatever is easiest for you!)
Using my Silhouette Cameo, I cut out a couple of vinyl turkey’s and applied them to both sides of the holder.
I then painted them white!
When everything was dry, I used a sponge sander and sanded down each side and all the edges to give it a worn look – then I sprayed it with a Rustoleum matte clear coat and was done!
Fill it up with your favorite napkins and you are ready for Thanksgiving!
Cute right — now I sort of want to make a santa one and a snowflake or a heart… maybe an easter egg or a firework… a pumpkin….
