Easy Teacher Appreciation Gift Idea *FREE PRINTABLE*

easy teacher money gift

This week we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week at our school, so I wanted to share an EASY and quick teacher appreciation gift idea that you could put together pronto! My mom gave me this idea last year and it was a big hit: a pad of cash with a tag that says “A little gratuity. . .a lot of GRATITUDE!” Clever, right? 🙂

I love giving teachers treats and other goodies, but sometimes it’s nice to give them some money to spend wherever they want! I know a lot of teachers buy supplies for their classroom out of their own pocket, so this might be a big help. This would be a great gift to do as a group of parents or even as an entire class.

All you need is a few items:

  • A “pad” of one dollar bills: We just went to the bank and they have pads of one dollar bills, kind of like a notepad where you can “tear” off the money one bill at a time. (I know Zions Bank  in Utah does this, not sure about other banks.) Each pad comes in $100 amounts. You can break them up into smaller amounts at home and end up with a few smaller pads depending on how much money you wanted to give as the gift. If your bank doesn’t have this option, you could always get some crisp $1 bills and simply make a stack of them and wrap them with ribbon or twine.
  • A gift tag
  • Cello Bag and ribbon

I created a new tag this year to print off and stick onto the gift bag. I’ll add a personal note to each tag and have my kids sign them too.

I have them available as a FREE PRINTABLE. Just click on the link below to download. It is a zipped file that you can save to your computer for you to print out on 8.5 x 11 inch paper or cardstock, cut out and attach to your gift.
