Make a mini coloring book

Lets take a cut printable coloring page and make a mini book with it. It’s a quick and easy paper craft you can customize. Add in your own extra pages or art designs or personalize the cover. You can also print out multiple copies and make mini coloring books with friends.

Materials

Instructions

  1. Download the print the free coloring page.
  2. Cut out the mini coloring pages. Leave room on the left-hand side of each picture so you have room to attach the sheets together. The bottom two blocks on the printable are designed slightly larger so you can use them as your front and back book covers.
  3. Apply a line of glue on the left of one page. Adhere another mini page to the glue line. Continue to glue pages together along the left side until your book is complete.
  4. Design your cover and then glue the front and back to your finished book.
  5. If you prefer, you can color your pages before gluing them together and then you’ll have a cute little book to share.
  6. Add your own art, designs, doodles and fun words to more pages to create a custom craft!

5 fun ways to color

  • You don’t have to color with only pencils or crayons. Instead of just using crayons, try painting your coloring pages with watercolors or use colored pencils. Keep in mind, when painting a printable page, black ink might smear if you get it too wet.
  • Markers are fun to blend colors. Color one layer of a single color and then add another color marker right on top.
  • Combine coloring supplies. Try coloring with colored pencil and then painting on top or add crayon coloring on top of markers.
  • Try watercolor colored pencils. You can use a waterbrush, a paint brush with water or blending markers to create pretty painted colors with the pencils.
  • Use different coloring tools when you color. Instead of using a paintbrush, try using a q-tip or sponge to add color to your printable art.
