Home Depot DIHWorkshops

Hey guys! Last week I announced we had been invited to participate in The Home Depot’s Workshops Virtual Party, and it’s here! The Home Depot invited a group of female bloggers to put their own twist on this week’s Do-It-Herself Workshop project.

Beverage Stand

Which, you may remember, is this fun little beverage stand. You can learn how to make your own stand at this week’s Do-It-Herself WorkshopWorkshops are free, demonstrative classes. While attendees won’t always be able to make and take the project (changes by store), you will walk away with the skills to recreate the project at home. Grab some friends and register for this week’s workshop Thursday at 6:30 at your local The Home Depot! I’m going with a group of friends as a change from our regular girls night out.

Beverage Stand

The Home Depot sent me the plans and asked that I put my own twist on the project.

You may notice that in my version I added a towel bar. When your drinks are sitting in a bucket of ice it’s a guaranteed thing that they will be dripping wet when you pull them out. Having a towel nearby let’s guests easily dry off their beverage. It was a simple addition, that only required an additional 2 inches of board, a dowel and 2 glass knobs.

I really like the glass knobs – they add a feminine touch to a boxy design!
