Bookworm Snack Mix is the perfect snack to eat while reading a book. Mix together your favorite sweet and salty treats for this easy mix.
I will do lots of things to get my kids motivated to read. I love when they find a good book and can’t put it down.
One way I’ve found to keep them reading, is with this Bookworm Snack Mix. This mix is super easy to make and can be changed up so easily.
Here’s how we make Bookworm Snack Mix:

- Nilla Wafers
- Teddy Grahams
- Goldfish Crackers
- Plain M&M’s
- Mini Pretzels
- Mini Chips Ahoy Cookies
- Gummy Worms (because it’s a bookworm mix)
- Anything else your kids might like
The instructions are as easy as you may think.
Just begin dumping each snack into a large bowl.
Once all the ingredients are added, begin to mix the well.
I usually will mix with my hands so I don’t crunch the crackers and cookies with a spoon. But feel free to use a spoon if that works better for you.
Place some Bookworm Snack Mix into small serving containers.
Have your kids grab a book and a comfy place to read. Once they have settled in, pass out the snack mix. They will love having a yummy snack to munch on.
I will also use this snack mix as a reading incentive. If my kids read a certain number of pages, I tell them I will make the snack mix. It’s a good motivator for them to keep going.
And it’s super easy to add anything you may have in your pantry already. Or let each kid choose what they want to add to the snack mix to add even more reading motivation.
