Christmas Decor to Make with Kids
My little one loves to decorate. Oh bless her. While her friends are watching “Sofia, the First”, she watches “Fixer Upper”. Her craft time includes making decorations for her make-believe parties. It really is too cute! So, naturally, she wanted to decorate her room for Christmas. While I do have a couple of decorations for her room, we wanted to make something for her door. She also loves bows. So, we decided to make a bow wreath. Super simple Christmas decor to make with any kid.
Let’s get crafting…
Materials:
assortment of Astrobrights’ paper (cardstock or paper work fine)
a small wreath (I chose a white one–this one here)
Steps:
First, we choose the colors we’d like to use from Astrobrights’ assortment of colors. Astrobrights’ are my favorite colored paper to use in almost any project that involves paper.
Next, we found bow templates (I used this one here but there are a ton to choose from. Just search on Pinterest) I did not use the bottom of the bow template. Just the bow….when it looks like a bow-tie.
We cut a few templates bows in different colors.
Then we stapled the ends of the template together and secured with the outer piece of paper with tape.
Next, we took the small, white wreath and placed the bows where we thought they might go.
With the cool glue gun, we glued the bows to the wreath.
I hung the wreath on the wreath hanger and voila! It added a fun, festive touch to the Christmas season.
Do you make any decorations with your kids? This is just a simple idea to bring some Christmas decor to your kids’ rooms. Easy Christmas decor you can make with your kids. Win-Win!
