Favorite Games for Families

Bring the family together with a game night. We have collected our Favorite Games for Families.
We have found that game nights are the perfect way to bring our family together. Something we learned well during quarantine. 😉 Here is our list for top games that our families play over and over. There is something for everyone on this list.

Game Storage

Game Storage: We use a photo storage box to keep all of our cards games organized and together. It will hold 16 games. This would make an awesome family gift, for friends or siblings. I would gift it with a game or two to get their collection started. We love that it is grab and go, meaning we can quickly carry all of our card games to a different area of the house or take on trips with us. As a mom, I love that it keeps everything contained and I can quickly see if there is a game missing.

Family Favorite Card Games

Cover Your Assets:  Probably the most popular Grandpa Beck game, but we also love his Skull King,  The Bears and the Bees, and  Nuts About Mutts. They are all well done and great quality. You can’t go wrong with a Grandpa Beck game. Use code CRAFTINGCHICKS for 15% off when you buy any Grandpa Beck games.

Skipbo is a fun game where players race to make a stack of ascending cards (2,3,4 and so on) until they have no cards left. This one is a blast and players as young at 6-7 can play easily.
There are so many fun versions of Uno, but our family favorite has got to be Uno Attack.
Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza has quickly become a favorite around our house. This game is easy to play and super fun. We love the fun extra movements cards. This game also makes a great gift. I can’t wait to gift my family the Christmas version, Santa Cookie Elf Candy Snowman.
Five Crowns is a fast moving, easy to play game.
Happy Salmon is a super fast paced game played in about 90 seconds. This games is a great warm up game for groups and will have the whole family on their feet.

Family Favorite Board Games

Clue is one of those games I loved playing when I was younger. And my kids love playing it too. There is just something about this game.
Codenames will have your family thinking spys. This game is a favorite of my 10 year old right now. She could play over and over. We love the different versions of this game as well.
Sequence reminds me of my mother-in-law. I loved playing this game with her. Try to get five in a row without getting blocked.
Fireball Island this new version of a game we had as kids looks just as fun. Try to collect the gems and escape the island before you get smashed with a fireball.
Azul will bring out your artistic side as you try to decorate “walls” of a palace with the correct tiles.

Family Favorite Interactive Games

Throw Throw Avocado is on the list cause who doesn’t want to play a small game of dodgeball with an avocado?
We played Drone Home for the first time with cousins and my kids couldn’t get enough. So much fun!
Who’s The GOAT may have been the best game purchase from last Christmas. We love this game and have had so many friends buy it after we played it with them.
Telestrations is kind of like the telephone game, but fro drawing. It is fun to see what the drawings morph into and is filled with laughs each round.
One Night Ultimate Werewolf gives you 5 minutes to find the werewolf in your group. Such a fun game.
And I just found Slam Cup, and think it is going to be the hit game this year for our family.

Family Favorite Brain Games

Qwixx is a dice game that includes some math. You’ll be amazed at how quick kids can pick up on this.
Blockus is easy to learn, and you use colorful Tetris like pieces to play. The goal is to get your pieces on while blocking opponents.
Mastermind is a retro game that I’m excited has returned! There is a Codemaker and Codebreaker and every game is guaranteed to be a brainteaser.
Kingdomino, I’d say this is a simpler version of Catan (although they aren’t related). You build your kingdom domino style, connecting like with like. This game is easy to play.
Kandoodle Head to Head a brainteasing puzzle game that you play against a friend.
