Funfetti Cake Donuts
We love making homemade donuts at our house! And with this easy recipe, you can make many kinds of homemade cake donuts.
You just need a few easy ingredients and a donut baking pan.
We found this Heart Shaped Donut Pan and couldn’t wait to make heart shaped donuts for Valentine’s Day! The month of LOVE! Nothing beats the winter time blues like a sweet treat.
Our family loves sharing these sweet mini Funfetti cake donuts with neighbors, family and friends.
Funfetti Cake Donut Ingredients:
1 Cup Water
1/4 C. Vegetable Oil
1 Egg
Vanilla Glaze Ingredients:
1/2 C. Butter
1 1/2 C. Powdered Sugar
4-5 T. Milk
2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
1) Mix together cake mix, water, oil and egg. Mix on medium speed for 2 minutes.
2) Add the batter to a large gallon sized bag.
3) Cut the corner of the bag and pipe the mix into your greased donut baking pan.
4) Bake at 350 Degrees for 8-10 minutes.
5) Flip the pan over and allow the heart shaped donuts to cool for 5 minutes.
6) While baking you can make the vanilla glaze. To make the glaze, heat the butter in a mini sauce pan over low-med heat until melted.
7) Whisk in powdered sugar, vanilla, milk and pink food coloring. Mix Well. If it is too thick, add a bit more milk.
8) Dip each donut in the glaze on one side.
9) Turn over and lay on a cooling rack. Add sprinkles right away before the glaze dries.

Serve with festive Valentine paper products. Serve with milk and a striped paper straw.
