Ribbon Organization Cart

I’m excited to share a fun way to organize your ribbons today on The Crafting Chicks! Every January I get the itch to organize and clean out each room in our house. Of course I was thrilled to join Michaels Craft Stores in their January Organization Challenge for Michaels Makers.

I am in love with the bright, colorful organization Cre8ted Space Storage line at Michaels. This month, I’m trying to focus on my craft/office space little by little. I find it easier to take work on organizing one item/space at a time. My ribbon collection was a hot mess…and I knew that was just the craft supply to start organizing!

I grabbed a mesh basket rolling cart in blue and a ton of mason jars for my ribbon organization project! I love how it turned out and am excited to share the easy details today!

I love pretty colorful ribbon and twine and thought this would make the prettiest display in my creative space. This ribbon organization cart was so simple to put together and now my ribbon is so easy to find for my next project.
What You’ll Need to Make the Ribbon Organization Cart:

-Cre8ted Space Mesh Basket Rolling Cart

-Mason Jars (I used 19 pint sized mason jars for this project)

-Pretty Bowls for twine, ric-rac and washi tape storage

To create a Ribbon Organization Cart:

Sort your ribbon and trim by color. I let my kids help with this and they loved it.
Add a color of ribbon/trim to each jar. Multi colored ribbon can be added to the same jar.

3) Add your ribbon jars to the cart. You could fit up to 12 pint sized mason jars on each mesh basket of the cart. I added 8 jars to each basket full of pretty colorful ribbon. 4) Add twine, ric-rac, and washi tape to the top basket of the cart. Sort these in pretty bowl or in mason jars. 5) Place the ribbon organization cart near your creative space. It’s so easy to pull and choose your ribbon or trim from the jar.Plus, it makes such a pretty display! I love how easy it is to roll the cart around while working on projects. And…the ribbon is a breeze to clean up and organize after the project is complete!
