Here’s what you need to make Broccoli Cheese Chowder
- fresh broccoli
- 1 small onion
- Chicken broth
- salt
- grated cheddar Cheese
- Flour
- Cream or Milk
- Butter
1. Cook broccoli until tender. Cut into pieces and set aside.
2. Saute onion in 1/4 C. butter until tender.
3. In a soup pot, melt 3/4 C. butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour until well blended.
4. Gradually stir in your milk or cream, chicken broth and salt.
5. Stir while bringing to a boil. Cook 1 to 2 minutes until thick.
6. Add broccoli and onion.
7. Remove from heat and stir in cheese, either serve or keep at low heat.
Served 6-8.
