Smiley Face Painted Pots for Plants

Take your greenery to the next level with these adorable DIY Painted Face Plant Pots. This craft project is easy enough for tweens and teens to make, but also lots of fun for adults too.

I love adding a little greenery to any space. Smiley Face Painted Pots for Plants are especially fun.

They add the perfect pop of color and fun to any space.

What you’ll need to make your own Smiley Face Painted Pots for Plants:

STEP 1

Begin by painting each DIY Mini Ceramic Flower Pot with white paint, using a sponge brush. Let dry completely.

STEP 2

It’s time to have some fun by adding some designs to the DIY Mini Ceramic Flower Pot. Use a bright color paint and a thin detail brush to paint lines, stripes or anything you want, on your DIY Painted Face Plant Pots.

STEP 3

Add a smiling face to your DIY Mini Ceramic Flower Pot. This might actually be my favorite part. It’s so much fun to add in a smile to make these flower pots happy. For the eyes, you can dip the end of your paint brush into some black paintand dab it on. I actually remembered half-way through how easy it is to use Elmer’s® Paintersto make the faces. I recommend using those.

STEP 4

Now to add some faux plants to your flower pots. This is for all my black thumb friends. Place the stem of a faux succulent pick into a mini styrofoam ball. Then drop in to the DIY Painted Face Plant Pots.

STEP 5

I also loved the look of the faux mountain grass in these adorable Painted Face Plant Pots. To make these, I just cut off each stem and stuck them individually into the mini styrofoam balls.

STEP 6
