Paper Twins Kid Craft
Hello! It’s Ginger from GingerSnapCrafts.com. I am so glad to be here today. 🙂 I have had a blast following along with the Chicks’ super fun Mother Hen’s Summer Survival Series! So many amazing ideas have been shared. My kiddos & I have even tried a few of the kid crafts together. Did you see the mini felt pizza? So cute! Annnnd the fingerprint bugs were adorable. 🙂 I am excited to share a fun activity my younger kids & I did together this summer center around our bodies. My kiddos had so much fun talking about how important & unique their body was. Then they had just as much fun making a Paper Twin that looked “just” like them. So keep reading to see what we did! 🙂
The first thing we did was read some books about our bodies.
Some of our favorite books about our bodies are:
My Feet by Aliki
My Five Senses by Alike
I Like Myself by Karen Beaumont
I’m Growing by Aliki
The Body Book by Shelley Rotner & Stephen Calcagnino
We talked about how different & special we all are. No one is quite like you!
We also talked about how we should take of our bodies. We need to eat good food, run & play.
Then I let them get to work. I cut out these body shapes using my Silhouette.
Then I gave them scissors, glue, tape, glitter glue, markers & crayons.
I let them be creative! They went a little crazy with the glitter glue! ha!
I love how my son added some yellow & brown hair just like his is.
They came up with the name “paper twin” for their creation. It stuck! 😉
I hope you try this out with your kids! Let me know if you do!
What kind of kid crafts do you like to do with your kiddos?
