Kitchen Farmhouse Decor

I’ve joined forces with Michaels this month to bring you my Fall Haul. I have to admit that I fell head over heels in love with the new seasonal home decor items. I snagged a bunch and put them to good use in my new kitchen. Michaels is your destination for on-trend fall floral and décor, making it easy to decorate for any personal fall style. I’ve got some fun tips and tricks on how you can add items to make your kitchen into a farmhouse kitchen.

Easy key pieces for your home.

I’ve been dying to add farmhouse touches to my kitchen. Michaels made it super easy by giving me tons of options. I’m excited to show you what I did.

Basket with Fruit or Veggies

I don’t have to tell you that a basket with fruit is a must have in a farmhouse kitchen. I love the mix of chicken wire and wood in this basket. Then adding in the red and green apples adds such a fun pop of color. I also had this fun burlap table runner. I like using things in an unusual way, so I turned the table runner.

Add Interest to Corners

If you look at the following picture, you can see a couple corners that are mainly dead space. Once I added in some decor they got new life.

I purchased this old fashion scale at Michaels last year and have loved it. The color is so fun, and it actually works.

To make this space more interesting, I added in some succulents. I think every space can benefit from having a plant or two.

This corner is one of my favorites. I’m excited to change out the greenery with each season. I think these big berries look great for the end of summer/fall.

I love the galvanized pitcher. It is perfect for decor. Then adding in the candlesticks just finished this vignette perfectly.

Say Something

I have this deep corner on my countertops that was always calling for something. I found this rustic wooden “Bless our Nest” sign and knew I had to have it.

Don’t be afraid to add sayings or words to your kitchen. Especially if they are on amazing wood like this one.

Added a plant and of course it needed a bird. I love how the green and blue pop next to that dark wood stain.

Add Special Touches

I’ve been dreaming of taking my sink area up a notch. Here’s what I did.

Of course you always need hand soap available, but why not make it special? I found this adorable metal cake stand. It is the perfect size for my hand soap, a little towel, and sponge. I’m half tempted to place a tiny bouquet of lavender on there too.

Add Unexpected Touches

I love unexpected touches to my home decor. Michaels has these chunky wooden stars in 3 different sizes. I choose the smallest for my kitchen. I placed it in front of a cotton ball wreath and this adorable tin measuring cup.
