Turkey, Family, and Football, oh my! After you and your family have filled your bellies, what do you usually do? Watch football? Take long naps? Go for a relaxing hike? We usually do all of these things except for a relaxing hike. Ha! I secretly wish we did this! It is just so darn hot here in Texas still. We usually scope out the ads to see what are the best deals for the Black Friday Sale instead (double haha!). I can see it now, all of my family around the dinner table, talking and sharing which latest gadget is popular. My cousins have been known to get paid to wait in line for my aunts at some big retailers just so they can get the best deals. Shh! Don’t tell them I told you. Now, with everything being online though, they don’t have to do this as much. But let’s talk “family game”.
I am really hoping for a little more “family game time”. Just a family game or two to get us moving off of the couch (That turkey though! Gets me every time.) I’m thinking a minute-to-win-it family game or something along the lines of this:
Family Game for Thanksgiving
These are Thanksgiving-themed cards you can use for family games like pictionary and charades. Nothing too intense, you can split up into teams and draw or mime your way to victory. If you have a very large group, you can write more nouns or verbs on simple index cards. Those always work just fine. This is on a single page PDF. Just print and cut and you’ll be good to go. You can find that HERE. Also, if you’d like more freebies like these, please join my newsletter HERE. I’m just starting a corner for parents on my blog and I’d love for you to join us. Again, you can join HERE.
After a little game action, I’m thinking of snuggling up with my kids and savoring the moment and this wonderful gift God has given me, my family. Much to be thankful for. I hope you enjoy your time with the ones you are thankful for.
Have a blessed and happy Thanksgiving!
