- Elmer’s Craft Glue
- Low Temp glue gun
- Low Temp glue sticks

- 12″ wood stick
Step 1:
Choose three coordinating fans for your turkey. Here’s a quick list of some that would work great!
It’s fun to mix in bright colors, patterns and dark colors with calm white and polka dot.
Step 2:
Using scissors, trim down the smallest paper fan that will go in the front of the turkey feathers. Cut extra cardboard hanging pieces off the ends of each fan. You will have a large, medium and now newly made small paper fan for the turkey feathers.
Step 3:
Using a 12-inch paint stick and a glue gun, glue down each layer of feathers (paper fan), on top of the wood piece. After laying down a strip of hot glue, add one feather that is spread out into a half circle. Add the largest one in back, the medium one in the middle, and the smaller paper fan in front. Use small glue dots with the hot glue gun to add some adhesive between the feathers. Hold together until the glue has dried. This is a great step for adults to help kids with.
Step 4:

Step 5:
Using tacky glue, glue together the parts of your turkey. Add a turkey beak, gizzard and fluffy wings. Make sure to add two googly eyes.
Step 6:
Let kids add their turkey body to the paper fan feathers. You can use tacky glue or hot glue for this step.

Display the sweet Paper Fan Turkey for all to see! We love how this craft makes a perfect centerpiece on the Thanksgiving Kids’ Table.
