Scissors

How to Fold Your Thanksgiving Joke Teller

If you’ve ever made a paper fortune teller, you already know the basic steps. But here’s a quick refresher so your kids can get folding right away:

Download and Print
Click the download link at the bottom of this post and print your Printable Cootie Catcher on white paper.
Cut Out the Square
Trim along the outer lines so you’re left with a perfect square.
Follow the Folding Instructions
Fold the paper diagonally corner to corner, unfold, and repeat with the other corners to create an “X” crease. Then, fold each corner into the center of the paper.
Flip and Fold Again
Turn your paper over and fold each new corner into the center again. This will create the base for your Thanksgiving Joke Teller.
Tuck Your Fingers In
Slide your fingers under the flaps and gently push the cootie catcher into shape.

Once it’s ready, your kids can start asking questions like “Pick a pie!” or “Choose a turkey!” to begin the game. When they open and close the flaps, they’ll reveal the funny Thanksgiving jokes hidden inside.
