Teal Pumpkin Project Prize Pumpkin
This Teal Pumpkin Project Prize Pumpkin is a great way to make sure children with allergies stay safe this Halloween. It’s a fun and simple project.
Several of my friends have children with food allergies. I have loved the Teal Pumpkin Project and the idea that children can Trick-Or-Treat without fear of an allergy attack.
I decided this was the year for me to make my own Teal Pumpkin so that we could hand out fun non-candy items at our house.
What you’ll need to make your own Teal Pumpkin Prize Pumpkin:
- Teal No-Carve pumpkin from Michaels
- Halloween themed notebooks or crafts from Michaels
- Glow sticks
- any non-candy prizes you’d like to add
First, carve the top off of your teal pumpkin. I made mine a nice big opening so I could add in the prizes and the kids could get them out easily.
Next, place the prizes inside your pumpkin. My girls were so excited that I found some Halloween melty beads. They love these things. I tried to find prizes that were around a $1 or less. It could be lots of fun to snag some extra crayons or school supplies while they are on sale to add to the prize pumpkin.
Finally, wait for your Trick-Or-Treaters to come and have fun choosing a prize.
