Pretzel Apple Bites
Hi there! I’m Kim Byers of The Celebration Shoppe and I’m thrilled to be here sharing a easy and super fun food idea. My boys have always loved Dr. Seuss. I mean, who doesn’t right!? It’s the fun and zany way I read the books to them I’m sure… or maybe it’s the rhythm and rhyme of the stories. {wink}
Apples Up On Top by Dr. Seuss was always at the top of the list for reading out loud. And today, I’m sharing how to make apples… well fun food apple pretzel apples anyway. This is a food craft that little fingers can help you make, doubles as an activity (you can read the story and stack the apples), and when you finish they’re a tasty snack.
You’ll need:
- Pretzel chips
- Red melting chocolates
- Green leaf or holly sprinkles
- Toothpicks
Easy steps:
- Place pretzels on wax paper.
- Top with one to two melting chocolates depending on if you have regular size or bite size pretzels.
- Heat in microwave for 8 second intervals, three to four times until melted.
- Use a toothpick to spread chocolate around.
- Finish with leaf sprinkle.

Kim
