Apple Sandwich Snacks
Hello to all of you Crafting Chicks, my name is Jen and I reside in a little space on the web called PinkWhen. I am a HUGE fan of camping and fun outdoor activities. In fact, I just recently returned from Colorado and spent time in some of America’s most beautiful landscape, the Rocky Mountains. While out and about wandering through nature I like to bring along a healthy snack, and these Apple Sandwich Snacks are a healthy snack option and with lots of yummy flavor. Check out how easy these are to make.
When we were off in the Rocky’s we did a lot of trail riding and were always out and about from the campsite for long periods of time. After all, it takes a while to explore the great outdoors. That’s why when I go camping, I like to bring along healthy trail snacks that will hit the spot and keep me full. These delicious apple sandwich snacks are one of my favorites, and I hope they will be one of your favorite snacks soon!
To make these Apple Sandwich Snacks you will need to have just a few things on hand:
- your favorite apples
- creamy peanut butter
- graham crackers
- cinnamon (optional)
Apple Sandwich Snacks
To get started, take the apples and cut them into horizontal slices. Remove all of the apple seeds.
Take the creamy peanut butter and spread it over the apple slices.
Sprinkle a little cinnamon over the peanut butter. (You don’t have to do this, but I think it makes them taste even better!)
Top your apple sandwich with a graham cracker, and then place the other apple slice on top.
Voila! A yummy apple sandwich snack.
These are really delicious, and they are a perfect healthy snack in place of sugary sweets or unhealthy junk foods that leave you feeling empty quickly.
You need to make one of these apple sandwich snacks for your next outdoor adventure, even if it’s to the back yard! They will go fast, so make sure you have a few reserves on hand.
If you can’t go camping and you want to make something to help you feel a little outdoorsy, you can always try this delicious S’mores Cake Recipe. It’s a favorite at our house!
